"I think Kimi and I had a bit of bad luck with the Virtual Safety Car," Verstappen stated afterward. "To end up on the podium is still very good. I gave everything I had, and I think third is a solid result."
Meanwhile, Leclerc celebrated his second-place finish behind race winner Kimi Antonelli, acknowledging that the timing of the VSC played perfectly into Ferrari's hands. The Monegasque driver noted his pace was strong, helping him maintain the championship standings advantage over the Red Bull driver.
